AMBULANCE
The first ambulance started providing emergency ambulance service in Hong Kong in 1914, and as early as 1487, people were already using horse-drawn carts or tricycles to transport patients. Today, there are more than 368 ambulances in Hong Kong, equipped with a full range of paramedic facilities to provide pre-paramedic ambulance services to the public and to perform emergency rescue work. According to statistics, an average of 2,048 ambulance trips are made every day in Hong Kong. Despite the increasing demand for emergency ambulance services, ambulance crews are still tasked with saving lives and are racing against time to provide the best possible medical care to the sick and injured.
